Glass Fusing

Coming Soon to The Painting Paw...Glass Fusing!!! We can't even begin to contain our excitement. Glass. Is. Awesome.

We will have something for everyone...from walk-in projects to workshops for kids and adults. We'll also offer intensive classes for those wishing to cut glass on their own to create more customized projects.

What's that you say..."I can't cut glass! That makes me nervous!" Not to worry, for all of our walk-in projects, we will have the glass pre-cut for you! Fabulous projects already prepped and waiting for you to create.

"It looks intimidating!" Glass couldn't be easier! Some of the projects can be completed in as little as 20 minutes!

How Does It Work?
Basically, you layer colored glass pieces on top of a base of clear, white or black glass. When finished, we fire it in the kiln and it's all fused together! If you wish it to be formed into another shape (such as a bowl or candle holder), we will fire it again to slump in one of our molds. All of the glass is food and dishwasher safe...I hear a set of dishes calling your name!

Types of glass in the studio:
PROJECTS: At any time, we plan to have between 5 to 10 easy to complete projects available on a walk-in basis. All of the glass will be pre-cut for you with a project sheet that will guide you through putting your piece together, step by step. With our helpful staff available to answer questions, you can't go wrong!

JEWELRY: Walk in anytime to create something that will make your friends so jealous! Choose from a gorgeous selection of dichroic glass to make pendants, earrings, purse holders, key rings and more!

WORKSHOPS: Workshops are a great way to get into glass fusing and are super for Ladies' Night! These courses last about 2 hours and are instructor led. Most of your glass will be pre-cut and all you have to do is follow along to assemble and decorate (so all the wine won't be a problem!). The prices will vary depending on the project for that evening.

CLASSES: Classes are an intensive course where you will learn the basics of scoring, breaking, nipping, layering and designing your own glass pieces. Plan to spend 3-4 hours with our instructor to learn all you need to know to create beautiful glass art!
